Neil co-founded Serone in 2009 and continues to actively lead the business day-to-day in his role as Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to Serone, Neil held various senior positions within the investment banking industry, heading both structured credit and CLO groups, leveraging his experience in sourcing, structuring, trading and syndication of transactions. With over 30 years in the industry, Neil has an extensive global network across all areas of our markets, which we still draw upon today.

Neil holds a BSc in Engineering in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Southampton University and an MA in Finance from the London Business School.

Serj is Chief Investment Officer across all of Serone’s investment strategies and has managed the firm’s award-winning fund since its inception in 2012. He is also a member of Serone’s executive management and investment committees.

Prior to joining Serone, Serj built up a decade of buy-side experience at KBC Financial Products (KBCFP) in London. As Senior Portfolio Manager he was responsible for a multi-billion dollar CLO/CDO/ABS investments and trading portfolio, one of the largest in Europe. Prior to KBCFP, Serj held senior positions in structured finance and credit derivatives at Standard & Poor’s and Credit Suisse.

Serj holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham and an MA in Finance from London Business School.

Adrian co-founded Serone in 2009 alongside Neil. He is Chief Operating Officer as well as a member of Serone’s executive management and investment committees.

Prior to Serone, Adrian was the Head of the Multi-Asset Class Group within International Prime Brokerage at Morgan Stanley in London. There, he was responsible for managing and developing the fixed income and foreign exchange platforms for hedge fund clients. Prior to that, Adrian also headed the Fixed Income Client Service Group at Morgan Stanley.

Adrian holds a BA in Finance from Sheffield Hallam University and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Stuart is a Portfolio Manager in Serone’s Structured Credit investment team, as well as a member of the management committee.

Before joining Serone in 2011 Stuart worked at HSBC, initially in the Americas ABS Origination group, but primarily in the EMEA Leveraged and Acquisition Finance group, which originates, executes and distributes leveraged, investment-grade, and infrastructure financing products for large corporate and private equity clients.

Stuart holds a BSc in Physics from Durham University and an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Imperial College London. Stuart is also a CFA Charterholder and a GARP qualified FRM.

Filippo is a Portfolio Manager in Serone’s Structured Credit investment team as well as a member of the management committee.

With 18 years in the industry, Filippo has a wealth of experience in structuring and investing in a wide range of transactions globally. Prior to joining Serone in October 2018, he worked as a senior investment professional at GoldenTree Asset Management, specialising in EU and US structured products. Before that Filippo was Head of Loan Trading at Mediobanca and held positions investing in or structuring credit products at Alcentra, Morgan Stanley and The Royal Bank of Scotland.

Filippo holds an MSc in Quantitative Finance from the Bocconi University in Milan.

Ralph is Head of Special Situations and Portfolio Manager of our European Special Situations Fund which launched in April 2020. He is a member of the management committee.

Prior to joining Serone in 2018, Ralph co-founded Sothic Capital Management, a hedge fund focused on European Distressed Situations where he was responsible for circa one third of the assets. Before that he was a Senior Analyst in the European Distressed Debt team at JP Morgan responsible for research.

Ralph holds a dual degree (Diplome des Grandes Ecoles & Diplom-Kaufmann) from ESCP Europe.

Alan is Chief Risk Officer at Serone as well as a member of the management committee.

Prior to joining Serone in 2021, Alan held senior risk management positions at Goldman Sachs including Chief Market Risk Officer for Goldman Sachs International and was a founder of the firm’s Enterprise Risk function. Alan’s previous experience includes leading risk management for Global Proprietary Trading at Credit Suisse as well as risk leadership roles at UBS and Commerzbank.

Alan holds a BSc and a PhD in Physics from Imperial College, London University.

Richard is the Chief Technology Officer and leads the development team. He is also a member of the management committee.

Prior to joining Serone in 2018, Richard gained extensive experience in software development and quantitative analysis through his roles at East Lodge Capital, Winton Capital, Bank of America, New Finance Capital and Sungard Adaptive.

Richard holds a BSc and MA, Meng in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Cambridge.

Qi is the Chief Financial Officer and leads Serone’s finance and operations functions. She is a member of the Management Committee.

As a qualified ACA accountant from Deloitte, she has extensive post qualification experience in finance, operations, valuation and audit at a portfolio of institutions including hedge funds, investment banks and trading houses, with a strong track record of working with multiple asset classes and systems and managing various stakeholders.

Qi holds a BA in English and Business Studies from Nanjing University and an MSc in Management Research from Said Business School at the University of Oxford.
